Costa Mesa: Public Telescope Night

Costa Mesa: Public Telescope Night

Presented by Orange Coast College at Orange Coast Planetarium

Join us for a night of stargazing at the Orange Coast College (OCC) Planetarium.  Our planetarium staff and OCC Astronomy faculty will be on hand to guide you through the cosmos, as you gaze through our telescopes and witness the beauty of the universe with your own eyes.

There is no substitute for seeing the night sky for yourself. While photographs and videos are certainly impressive, they cannot capture the awe-inspiring experience of witnessing a meteor shower, a planet in motion, or the sheer expanse of the Milky Way in real time.

Our public observing nights are perfect for families, amateur astronomers, or anyone who has ever wondered what lies beyond our atmosphere. Whether you're an astronomy enthusiast or a newcomer to the subject, our knowledgeable staff will be there to answer your questions and provide fascinating insights into the mysteries of the cosmos.

Free family event with advance online reservation.  Viewing may be canceled due to weather conditions.
