A PIECE OF MY HEART
By Shirley Lauro
Directed by Kathy Paladino
Costa Mesa Playhouse starts the New Year with A Piece of My Heart, a powerful exploration of the experiences of six women who served during the Vietnam War, running from February 3 – 26, 2017.
Inspired by the book by Keith Walker, A Piece of My Heart is the true story of six women who served in Vietnam - four nurses, a Red Cross worker, and a country western singer. Their stories span 20 years, from young idealists unprepared for the horrors of war, through their lifelong struggles to come to terms with their experiences. Named "The most enduring play on Vietnam in the nation" by The Vietnam Vets Association. A Piece of My Heart is told with the music and soul of a tumultuous era in American history.
Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $20 general admission and $18 for students and seniors. Discounts available for groups of 10 or more. The first Friday preview performance, February 3, is $18 for all seats. Gala Night performance on Saturday, February 4 is $22 for general admission, and $20 for students and seniors.
