Heroes Hall Museum and Education Center presents, The Vietnam War through the Art & Photography of Ed Bowen, featuring the painting, photography, and memorabilia of the late Ed Bowen. Through more than 30 paintings and sketches produced from Bowen's tour of duty in Vietnam, visitors will explore the U.S. military use of combat artists.
In 1967, Bowen was drafted into the U.S. Army and was initially trained for service as a helicopter door-gunner. However, once the Army discovered his artistic talent, he was reassigned to the role of combat artist and was deployed to Vietnam, where he served as part of a combat artist team.
