March is Read Aloud Month and that means another Reading in the Redwoods! This month’s book is “Everybody Needs a Rock” by Byrd Bailor, which outlines ten rules to finding the perfect rock. You’ll get to meet some of our educational animals before heading out on a hike with Director Bo Glover and Naturalist Valerie Bain, who will read aloud to the group beneath our beautiful redwood trees.
Everybody needs a rock-even you! Make sure to bring one and give it a personality and backstory. You can take turns interviewing each other’s rocks and even trade them!
All ages are welcome but parents please remain with your children at all times. Bring your own rock and a blanket or towel.
Admission is $10 per child; $5 for children of ENC members. Adult admission is free. To register and prepay visit encenter.org
