July 31 - August 4 (daily 9am-1pm)
at Hirschl School of Dance Arts (Anaheim)
Summer Choreography Intensive for Teens is a week long workshop for dancers (ages 13-19) to learn a broad spectrum of choreographic processes and will explore their own unique path the art creation through movement. Each day includes setting our individual intentions for the day, warm-up for the body and mind, focus topics, and a cool down and debrief of the day. Young Choreographers Project explores many choreographic concepts with discussion, exercises, experimentation and application through solo work. Topics include, but are not limited to, improvisation, musicality, soundscapes/music, critiques, editing, and phrasing. All levels of dancer and choreographer are welcome.
Young Choreographers Project's "Summer Choreography Intensive" is led by Irene Watson, YCP Mentor and artistic director/choreographer of Watson Dance.
