Join the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association on Saturday June 17th for the 3rd Annual Gallery Dinner Party & Minature Auction FUNdraiser at the Forest & Ocean Gallery in Laguna Beach. After enjoying an intimate 4-course culinary and wine pairing experience, attendees will have the opportunity to bid on more than 20 original 4″ x 4″ miniature plein air masterpieces, painted by the 2016 Laguna Plein Air Invitational Artists, to be sold during a live auction.

To add to this special evening, Mr. Jean Stern, the Executive Director of The Irvine Museum Collection at the University of California, Irvine, will share tidbits of Laguna's plein air painting history and share historical miniatures from his private collection.

This event celebrates the tradition started by the early plein air artists that established Laguna Beach as an art colony 100 years ago. To raise the money needed to open the very first art gallery in Laguna Beach in 1918, the original Laguna Beach Art Association hosted dinner parties and presented miniature paintings for their patrons. LPAPA has resurrected the tradition to support its gallery and mission, and to celebrate and preserve Laguna’s artistic heritage.  The Laguna Plein Air Painters Association (LPAPA) is considered the steward of Laguna’s plein air painting legacy, with a mission to promote and preserve our community’s artistic heritage and the plein air painting tradition!
