9:30 – 10AM Begin the day by meeting our “hares” (rabbits) and new Desert Tortoise, “Waffle.” Have “waffles with Waffles” as we serve up waffles with toppings, coffee, and juice for you to enjoy!

10AM Join us for a “Tree Hug Hike” out to the Redwood Forest with Valerie Bain. Valerie will read The Tortoise & Hare under the canopy of our tallest trees while your family relaxes together on a blanket or towel.

Afterward children and their adults will participate in hands-on activities related to the theme of the book! Parents remain with children at all times. All ages welcome. Bring your own blanket or towel.
