Formed in 2003 by four alumni of the Paris Conservatory, the Modigliani Quartet launches the Society’s chamber music series with Brahms’ String Quartet in C minor, Schubert’s Quartettsatz in C minor, and works by Puccini and Mendelssohn.

Formed in 2003 by four friends following their studies at the Paris Conservatory, the Modigliani Quartet attracted international attention by winning the Frits Philips String Quartet competition in Eindhoven (2004), the Vittorio Rimbotti competition in Florence (2005) and the Young Concert Artists Auditions in New York (2006). The quartet is a regular guest of the world’s top venues such as Wigmore Hall, Carnegie Hall, Philharmonie de Paris, Berlin’s Konzerthaus, Vienna’s Musikverein and Konzerthaus, and Salzburg’s Mozarteum, and also serves as Artistic Directors of the Rencontres Musicales d’Evian.
