NORMA KERSHAW AUDITORIUM

1:30PM John Rowe – “Cuba Now,” guest lecturer and honorary Professor for audio visual arts at the Fine Arts University in Havana. Mr. Rowe takes you on a photo journey of the wide ranging cultural color of Cuba as it is now, from the 2016 Rolling Stones concert to the form and grace of Cuba’s National Ballet. Member or with paid admission $9, General $12.

MARGARET AND CLEO KEY COURTYARD

11AM – 4PM Face Painting, Color a 1950’s circa car drawing, Water color a Spanish Fan, Make
paper flowers to wear as you salsa.
12NOON PASO de ORO dance troupe sets the stage for some great salsa music and dance
12:30 – 3PM LA CHARANGA CUBANA band plays salsa music for your dancing and listening pleasure. Directed by Edgar Hernandez. Mr. Hernandez has toured Cuba and the world with some of the most famous salsa singers and musicians. He formed LA Charanga Cubana in 1994. Mr. Hernandez has authored books on Cuban music, recorded 3 CDs, and presently teaches music at Cal State L.A.
