Now in its third decade, the Ying Quartet has established itself as an ensemble of the highest musical qualifications. The Grammy-winning ensemble is currently the string-quartet-in-residence at the Eastman School of Music. Through its LifeMusic project, supported by the Institute for American Music, the Ying Quartet has commissioned established and emerging composers to produce a distinctively American string quartet repertory. Their program in Fullerton will include a new work by composer Christopher Theofanidis, as well as pieces by Mendelssohn and Dvorak.
