Anaheim Ballet’s new Martini Ballet is an intoxicating look at yesterday’s tiki bar retro lounge scene. Multimedia presentations, repertory pieces, and classical works round out the evening performed by the athletic and exhilarating Anaheim Ballet dancers.
On Thursday, October 19th at 7:30 pm, the doors to the lounge will open at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts Samueli Black Box Theater. The ballet portrays couples and individuals in a lounge setting, losing their inhibitions in an attempt to reveal and share their authentic views. Sarma Lapenieks Rosenberg's visionary Bellum, Pas ex Spes (war, peace, and hope) will be featured in the ballet. This timely work speaks to opposing spiritual forces of good and evil and the transcendence power of hope.
