Join us for a captivating "Plein Talk" conversation with Mr. Jean Stern, Executive Director of The Irvine Museum Collection at UCI, who has prepared a special visual presentation in association with the book he co-authored, PAINTING CALIFORNIA: Seascapes & Beach Towns.
Mr. Stern will take us on an artistic journey along the California coast, showing contemporary and historic painting images. Attendees will also have the opportunity to purchase his book for a special discounted price -- and Mr. Stern will be available to sign your copy!
During the evening, LPAPA will present a Silent Auction for 35 small works ranging in size from 2.5" x 3.5" to 9" x 6", each created by our 35 participating Invitational Artists.

A 9-day plein air art festival and painting competition showcasing 35 invited artists who were selected from the top award-winning plein air painters across the country. The Laguna Plein Air Painters Association (LPAPA) is a 501c3 nonprofit art organization dedicated to painting the landscape, the plein air painting tradition and preserving Laguna's artistic legacy established by plein air painters more than 100 years ago.
The 19th Annual Laguna Beach Plein Air Painting Invitational is a 9-day art festival and painting competition showcasing 35 of the nation's top award-winning plein air artists who will compete for over $20,000 in prizes.
Proceeds from this event benefit the artists and nonprofit LPAPA.
