Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Perla Batalla will perform Perla Batalla in the House of Cohen, a tribute to her friend and mentor Leonard Cohen. The performance is an opportunity to enjoy an evening of the arts in an intimate setting and learn about one of the Blum Center's four areas of focus: the Science and Practice of Compassion.

Perla’s mission of honoring her roots and exposing young audiences to the beauty of music and the Spanish language is ongoing in her outreach endeavors throughout some of the poorest communities in the United States. She is the recipient of the United Nation’s Earth Charter Award for “extraordinary devotion to social and economic justice” and the Premio Fronterizo Award for “healing work in the world.”
