In 1902, Albert Einstein gifted a book, Karl Pearson’s The Grammar of Science, to his colleagues to start a conversation about the universe. Expanding on that conversation, we invite a variety of experts to share the stories behind landmark advancements and discoveries in the fields of science and technology. Recorded in front of a live audience at the 1888 Center, this educational program is designed as a series of brief explorations into our natural world and the human ability to manipulate it. In partnership with Ingram Micro and Chapman University.

Kendra Angier is vice president of Human Resources at Ingram Micro, responsible for leading all aspects of human resource strategy for the Americas region with approximately $20B in revenues and more than 10,000 employees.  Based in California, Kendra reports to the Group President, Americas, Ingram Micro. Kendra’s primary focus areas include:  develop world-class systems and processes to attract, develop, retain and reward top talent; foster and sustain a great culture at Ingram Micro; and, engage associates through ongoing communications, feedback, and social responsibility activities to connect our people to their local communities.

Kendra joined Ingram Micro in 2015, bringing more than 20 years of experience with human resources gained during a career that has spanned several different industries. Prior to joining Ingram Micro, she was with University of Phoenix as campus vice president for Southern California campuses, a position where she provided transformational leadership and strategic direction to 10 campuses with 300 associates and more than $300M revenue. During her career, Kendra has served in various human resources leadership roles at THINK Together, Pepsi, Accenture and Pacific Gas & Electric.

Kendra earned her MBA from the University of San Francisco and her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Kendra lives in southern California with her husband and their two sons, who keep them both extra busy. She is an avid runner, and enjoys pushing her limits through endurance races.
