Behind the Mask: World War I, Plastic Surgery, & The Modern Beauty Revolution

David M. Lubin, the Charlotte C. Weber Professor of Art at Wake Forest University, will present a lecture on how plastic surgeons worked on prosthetic masks for those soldiers seriously injured in World War I. This is another relevant subject that will discuss how societies reintegrate their wounded veterans after war.
