More a community cultural experience than a dance, bring the entire family to take part of this FREE celebration of Alvin Ailey’s signature work, Revelations, on the Argyros Plaza on April 14 from 11am-1pm. The Spirit Chorale gospel choir will open the celebration with a lively performance. Then, Ailey teaching artists will lead all in learning choreography selected from Revelations: Wade in the Water, I’ve Been ‘Buked and Rocka’ My Soul. All levels of experience are welcome. As a finale, all participants will join together in a grand participatory celebration of this moving cornerstone of the Ailey repertoire.
Then, grab a ticket to the Discover Ailey program on April 18 or the full repertory programs on April 19-22 in Segerstrom Hall.
