Annual free dance workshop for training in jazz, contemporary, and ballet.
Casa Romantica's annual Summer Dance Workshop, now in its 3rd year, offers lessons in ballet, jazz, contemporary, and hip-hop to children ages 7 – 12 of all skill levels. Activities include daily group lessons, improvisation classes, and choreography classes to give dancers creative movement opportunities. The Workshop concludes with a recital put on entirely by the students.
The Summer Dance Workshop is in session for two weeks (Monday to Thursday) with a daily schedule of 9 AM – 12 PM. In addition, students are required to attend the student recital on Thursday, August 2. All activities are located onsite at Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens. Snacks and materials are provided. Accepted applicants must provide their own dance-appropriate attire and adhere to an approved dress code.
Students will be asked to submit a video or writtenstatement of interest, a letter of a recommendation from an instructor (school or hobby), and a recent report card in addition to filling out the application form.
Casa Romantica's Summer DanceWorkshop is different because there is NO application fee. There is a $200 reservation deposit, $150 of which is refundable after the Workshop concludes. The remaining $50 is applied to a 1-year Family Membership to Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens (learn more about Memberships HERE).
