Baroque Music Festival Corona del Mar 2018: Stylus Phantasticus – 17th-Century Chamber Music

Harmonically adventurous and texturally rich chamber music from Bertali, Buxtehude, Biber, Gesualdo and Schmelzer and others. Performed by violinists Elizabeth Blumenstock (director), Jolianne von Einem and Andrew McIntosh, violist Rob Diggins, viola da gamba players Heather Vorwerck and Mary Springfels, and harpsichordist Ian Pritchard. Preceded by brass music in the Gardens at 7:15 pm and followed by a reception.

Elizabeth Blumenstock is a longtime concertmaster, soloist and director with the Bay Area’s Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra and the American Bach Soloists; concertmaster of the International Handel Festival in Goettingen, Germany; and Artistic Director of the Baroque Music Festival, Corona del Mar.

Tickets and Festival Subscriptions

General admission: $45. Festival Subscriptions: $280.

A Festival Subscription provides premium-seating tickets to all five concerts plus admission to the private post-concert dinner at the award-winning Farmhouse restaurant in Roger's Gardens following the Festival Finale on Sunday, June 24th.

Seating: A Festival Subscription provides priority reserved seating at each performance. For single-ticket sales there is open seating at all concerts.

If you cannot attend a Festival concert for which you hold tickets, please notify us in advance by calling (949) 760-7887. Seating is limited, so by contributing your unused tickets back to the Festival you make seats available to others. Although tickets cannot be refunded, a tax-deductible receipt for your contribution can be provided on request.
