Grand Defilé is a delightful showcase of the year’s work from our Southland Ballet Academy students. Our precious Tot Ballet & Pre Ballet 1 students will light up the stage with their beautiful faces…some for their very first time! You will see in this performance a display of various programs offered to Southland Ballet Academy students including character, contemporary and jazz. Our showcase is a celebration of the students’ accomplishments and an opportunity to experience the talent of the artists of the next generation.

Southland Ballet Academy, the official school of Festival Ballet Theatre, Orange County’s premier ballet company, has provided dancers from Orange County and abroad a nurturing environment of unparalleled dance training for 35 years. The exceptional teaching staff at SBA is completely dedicated to the development of the students. Through various structured classes, master classes, summer intensives and performance opportunities, SBA provides a home for inspired dancers to achieve at their fullest potential. In 2007, Pointe magazine recognized SBA as one of the Top 7 Producing Schools in the Nation. Our students have participated in and earned numerous awards and scholarships from prestigious national and international ballet competitions and many have gone on to professional and trainee careers with major ballet companies. Youth America Grand Prix has recognized Southland Ballet Academy numerous times with its Outstanding School Award and SBA founder Salwa Rizkalla with Best Teacher Award throughout the years.
