The GWC Dance Department has brought together the talents of diverse artists, both student and professional, that promises to satisfy your many tastes for dance.

Nannette Brodie, Director of Dance for Golden West College, is the director of the concert and brings her company, Nannette Brodie Dance Theatre, to perform Beyond the River, a quartet for women from their beautiful HEARTLAND production. Ms. Brodie will also present two works from her repertoire on the GWC students, Domain and Madame Meets the Dragon. Guest artist, Bobby Avalos, will debut a new work on the GWC Production Ensemble, entitled Together We Ride. In addition GWC Dance Professor, Kelly Ray, brings her energetic African dance for 16 GWC dancers to the stage. Student choreographers for Yes, We Can Dance! are Christina Morley, Mayra Pedraza, Samantha Nocerino, plus GWC alumni, Allison Sepa and Bri Machit.  This year all the students from GWC dance classes have the opportunity to perform in this year’s concert.

Altogether this concert is packed with dynamic dance proving that indeed, WE CAN DANCE!
