Presented by Claire Trevor School of the Arts at UC Irvine (CTSA) at University of California, Irvine - Winifred Smith Hall

Classical Persian music is rooted in classical Persian poetry, one of the most ancient bodies of literature in the world. This program explores poems by Rumi, Hâfez and Attâr, which expresses these poets’ philosophy and approach to life. The music that arises from this poetry is deeply spiritual and mystical.
