Our solar system is changing! Did you know that Pluto is no longer listed as a planet, and that we have some new smaller planets that are included in our system? Space stations and colonies on Mars may happen in time for you to be there! The Hubble Telescope and fly-by satellites have taken some fantastic close-up pictures of our system’s planets, moons and asteroids as well as exciting new galaxies. Scientists have discovered new “exo-planets” in other systems that might be capable of life. We can imagine what plants and animals might look like on other planets in our Exo-Biology Lab! Let’s learn some great stuff about our neighborhood in space, and maybe a bit about far away stars and their planets, too, in CMLH’s Fall 2014 Exhibit “Destination Space”.
