The Debra Huse Gallery and the Balboa Island Improvement Association are proud to present the ninth annual Just Plein Fun. Twelve award-winning artists from across the country will paint scenes on beautiful Balboa Island, California July 28th-August 2nd from sunrise to sunset. This unique plein air invitational is a must-see and fun for the whole family!

On Saturday, August 2nd there will be a "Brush Off" on Marine Avenue from 4-6 pm. Enjoy live music and watch as the artists compete to capture the best Balboa Island downtown scene. The show will open at 6:30 that evening with an artist reception and awards presentation at the Debra Huse Gallery. The public can vote for their favorite Island scene and there will be a Just Plein Fun Passport raffle with fabulous prizes, including an original painting. Participating artists include: Michele Byrne, Mike Carroll, Michael Clements, Mark Fehlman, Debra Huse, Sally Jordan, Rita Pacheco, Tony Salvo, David Soloman, and Kim Van der Hoek. Just Plein Fun will run through Labor Day.
