It’s time to Fall Back for Daylight Savings! Today in the museum we will have activities that help little ones understand what Daylight Savings is and how we use clocks to tell time!

Time:   Morning Activities: Math Matters @ 11:30am

Afternoon Activities: Symbols in Seconds @ 3:30pm

• Smart Art: Make a Clock > Join us in Orange Plaza to make your very own clock using the numbers 1-12, a paper plate, and two clock hands.
• Math Matters (11:30a.m.): Clock Race > Join us in Orange Plaza as we learn the numbers 1-12 by playing an easy numbers game.
• Symbols in Seconds (3:30p.m.): Telling the Time > Learn the basics of telling time in this mini lesson on clocks!

Grown-up Tip:  One way to help your child grasp the concept of time is by using a stopwatch to time certain activities. Many children are motivated to clean up their toys or get ready for bed faster if you suggest a clock race. Set your timer for 2-5 minutes and see how fast they work to get the job done!
