Following up on Pacific Chorale's 2013 performance of Verdi's Requiem, John Alexander conducts his dramatic, passionate, and seldom-performed Te Deum. In his debut performance conducting both Pacific Chorale and Pacific Symphony, Associate Conductor Robert Istad takes the podium for one of the 20th century’s most beautiful depictions of Paradise, Howells' ethereal, uplifting Hymnus Paradisi. Finally, Poulenc’s exuberant, irresistible Gloria provides a jazzy contrast and a fitting grand finale to the Chorale's 2014–2015 season.
