Pianist/Arranger/Composer Mina Choi (MM 2015) was the winner of the 2015 ASMAC/Pete Rugolo Big Band Arranging & Composing Competition and the 2017 Bill Conti Big Band
Arranging and Composing Competition. Also, she received a DownBeat 38th Annual Student Music Award for Outstanding Performance and selected Outstanding College Performer of the year, 2016 at Reno Jazz Festival. She will conduct two of her works, including a new premiere written especially for this concert.

Brandon Fields toured with George Benson in 1985, and recorded with Ray Charles, appearing on the posthumously-released album Genius Loves Company.
He was a member of The Rippingtons and Tower of Power.
