Musco Center Presents MANUEL BARRUECO, GUITAR Music of Spain & Cuba
A champion of the classical guitar, Cuban-born Manuel Barrueco made his Carnegie Hall debut in 1975, just eight years after immigrating with his family to the United States. Barrueco combines perfect technique with a sense of rhythms from tango and flamenco, garnered from his travels through virtually every country in Latin America. With more than a dozen recordings for record label EMI and collaborations with luminaries including Plácido Domingo, he is arguably the world’s finest living guitarist.
“A major artist with remarkable musicianship and a world of technique…simply and consistently awesome.” – Los Angeles Times
