The Grammy Award-winning Takács Quartet returns with virtuoso pianist Marc-André Hamelin to perform Franck’s dramatic Piano Quintet in F minor and works by Haydn and Debussy. Combining four distinct musical personalities to bring fresh insights to string quartet repertoire, the Takács Quartet is the only string quartet to be inducted into Gramophone’s 2012 Hall of Fame and recently became the first string quartet to win the Wigmore Hall Medal.

Internationally celebrated for the technical brilliance of his performances, Marc-André Hamelin is the recipient of a lifetime achievement prize by the German Record Critic’s Association, is an Officer of the Order of Canada, a Chevalier de l’Ordre du Québec, and a member of the Royal Society of Canada.
