The annual VSA Festival celebrates the artistic accomplishments of people with disabilities through the visual and performing arts
The 43rd Annual VSA Festival kicks off with an 11:00 a.m. Opening Ceremonies, hosted by actor, William Allen Young, who stars in the television series, “Code Black,” to include performances that showcase the program that continues throughout the afternoon.
Beginning at noon, performances will continue until 4:00 p.m. Participatory Workshops will be held throughout the lower level of MainPlace Mall, where participants, their siblings, and the general public can make and take arts projects, such as jewelry, paintings, Braille bookmarks, dress up in costumes, and have their face painted. There will also be an area for photos.
A visual art exhibit will be on display and will remain in the Mall through Mothers Day. Come and enjoy this FREE event, and celebrate this years’ theme, “You’re Out of This World.”
