Chosen as one of the Los Angeles Times’ 2013 Faces to Watch, rising star violinist Ray Chen is among the most compelling young artists of today and returns for his highly anticipated debut recital in the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. Winner of the Queen Elisabeth and Yehudi Menuhin Competitions, Chen is lauded for his brilliant technique and has performed at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Hollywood Bowl.

Following the success of his first two critically acclaimed recordings, Chen has been profiled by The Strad and Gramophone magazines as “the one to watch.” In 2012, he became the youngest soloist ever to perform in the televised Nobel Prize Concert for the Nobel Laureates and Swedish Royal Family.
