The Suicide Epidemic: Real Insight. Real Hope. Real Help.

Presented by Soka Performing Arts Center at Soka Performing Arts Center

Critical Conversations @Soka presents The Suicide Epidemic: Real Insight. Real Hope. Real Help.
With Dr. Kay Redfield Jamison and Alison Malmon

How can I help?  What can I do? Should we even talk about it? Questions we all ask ourselves about depression and suicide but are not sure where to find the answers. Join us for a compelling conversation between two women, Dr. Kay Redfield and Alison Malmon, who have faced different sides of the suicide epidemic. Learn from their experiences how to lift up the conversation about mental health for yourself and others to create hope and meaningful help.

Professor of Psychiatry, Dr. Kay Redfield Jamison is an international authority of mood disorders and author of Night Falls Fast: Understanding Suicide, and Alison Malmon is founder of Active Minds, an international non-profit that helps students create greater and sustained support to prevent loneliness, isolation and tragedies with fatal consequences. A Q&A session will follow the conversation.
