Luminous Faces in Water Color

Luminous Faces in Water Color

Presented by Brea Art Gallery, The at Brea Art Gallery

During this workshop, Fealing will teach you how to relax and enjoy the process as you discover the spontaneity and uniqueness of watercolor. Through guided lecture and demonstration, plus one-on-one assistance and critique, this class allows students to learn essential techniques while still working at their own pace. Topics will include how value and temperature change across the planes of the face, how to use transparent glazes to allow the glow of the paper to shine through, and how to balance colors and weaving lights and darks to achieve painterly and successful portraits.

**A pre-workshop exercise will be assigned and is required.
