An Italian drama film directed and based on a story by Federico Fellini, Le Notti di Cabiria depicts an eternally optimistic lady of the night as she wanders the streets of Rome looking for true love in vain (IMDb). Nights of Cabiria won the 1957 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
