North Orange County author Lorrie Farrelly reads excepts from her best-selling, debut novel "Terms of Surrender" and discusses the western historical romance's post American Civil War historical inspiration. Following questions and answers, she will be available to meet the public and autograph her books available for sale.

Farrelly is the author of six novels. First published in 2010 with a second edition in 2014, “Terms of Surrender” is a post-Civil War western historical romance, currently a Readers’ Favorite Book Award Finalist in the categories of “Western Fiction” and “Historical Fiction–Event/Era.” It is the first in a trilogy which includes “Terms of Engagement” and Terms of Temptation.” Her other novels are the time-travel romance, “Timelapse,” plus “Dangerous” and “The Guardian’s Angel,” both in the contemporary suspense romance genre. All her novels contain at least a touch of the paranormal.

Farrelly’s public presentation will include the reading of several brief excerpts from “Terms of Surrender,” a discussion of the novel’s genesis in her family’s history, and the aftermath of the American Civil War. The morning’s event will also feature brief video promos for the three books in the “Terms” series, followed by questions and answers. A meet-and-greet session, where she will autograph copies of her books available for sale, follows the event.
