Journey Stories, by the Smithsonian Institution, explores the intersection between modes of travel & the Americans' desire to feel free to progress and flourish, voyage, and explore. Enjoy historic photos, artifacts, and personal accounts from the individuals that make up Journey Stories. See the development and evolution of our need as Americans to move and expand - to journey - both physically and psychologically. We will also be focusing on the stories of Southern California and Orange County and it's vibrant diversity throughout the years.
The exhibit will be open daily, 9am - 5pm, October 5 - November 16, 2014 with various events on specific weekends:
October 11th - The Road to Southern California
October 25th - Incoming Cultures: Influences & Legacies in the OC
November 1st - Tourism in Southern California
November 15th - Back to the Beginning
