Preceded by brass music from South Coast Brass al fresco in the Gardens at 7:15 p.m.; wine & waters reception in the Gardens following the concert.
Chamber works by Bach, Buxtehude, Bruhns, Schütz and others, with guests Kyle Stegall (tenor) and Tanya Tomkins (cello). Join us in the Gardens for Bach’s Suite for Solo Cello No. 1 in G Major, BWV 1007; his cantata Ich armer Mensch, ich Sündenknecht, BWV 55; and beautiful small-scale vocal and instrumental works by his predecessors.
