First Thursdays Art Walk celebrates the diverse cultural art scene of Laguna Beach and is free to the public with participation by more than 30 member galleries.
Special Guest: Nicholas Yrizarry As a classical guitarist, he has performed at The John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts, and for charitable organizations such as Laguna Art Museum, Laguna College of Art & Design, Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach, Richard Henry Dana Charity Regatta, Court Appointed Special Advocates of Orange County (CASA) and Project HOPE Alliance.
Now on view, I Will Not Make Any More Boring Art: Prints by John Baldessari from the Collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation includes over seventy works by the most revered and influential figures in contemporary California art; Sculptures by Gwynn Murrill is the first exhibition to present work from the artist’s entire career, spanning the early 1970s to today; and Self-Help Graphics, 1983-1991 highlights a selection of prints from the East LA printmaking workshop and arts center that emerged from the Chicano movement of the 1960s.
The museum offers free admission from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. and docents are available for tours.
