One of the world’s finest fingerstyle guitarists, Australia’s Tommy Emmanuel is widely known for his complex technique and use of percussive effects on the guitar.
Remarkably, he has never had formal music training and doesn’t read music, but he performs folk, rock, country, jazz, blues and more with blistering virtuosity and astonishing ease. “No band, no singers—just him alone on that stage, and Emmanuel carried it off like the brilliant performer he is. To see him play live was thrilling. And live Tommy Emmanuel is what it’s all about (Rock and Blues Muse).”
