Learn about practice and process from famous poets and dispel common myths regarding this art form.
Think you could never write poetry? You just might get a big surprise in this fun and inspirational workshop. Then, with some gentle prodding and lots of encouragement, dive into a series of easy exercises designed to entice even the most reluctant Inner Poets to come out and play. Laura Miller’s first poem was an eighth grade homework assignment. Her work has appeared in a variety of journals, newsletters and magazines including The Sun, For You, and Somerset Art Journaling. She appears regularly in San Clemente Life magazine. Her first book of poetry, Chopping Wood/Carrying Water, was released in April 2017 and her first chapter book, Lessons From Trails End, was published in December 2018. Coffee, pastries, and writing materials are included! This workshop takes place quarterly. Guests must purchase tickets for each workshop they attend.
