The legendary jazz pianist Ron Kobayashi and friends will be featured on Saturday, August 31st at the OC Musicians’ Union Hall in Santa Ana at 7:30pm.
The Ron Kobayshi Trio has been performing together consistently for more than 25 years. Each musician brings with him years of diverse musical experiences. Pianist and leader Ron Kobayashi has performed with Mel Torme, Margaret Whiting, Kenny Burrell, Peter White, Tom Scott and Peter Frampton. He was a featured performer on the “Johnny Yune” television show, the TVONE series “Life After” with actress Jackee', the 2002 Jerry Lewis Telethon and on the CBS Evening News with Dan Rather. In 1992, Ron performed for President Bill Clinton.
Opening for Ron will be the SoCal Jazz Academy Repertory Ensemble is a community outreach program of SoCal Jazz Academy that carries the mission of spreading awareness of our educational programming in the community thereby providing a platform for faculty, community members, and seasoned pros to meet, interact, and learn in a safe and artistically stimulating environment.
