Artist call for original artwork on San Clemente Pier. Selected artist receives a $350 honorarium & the opportunity to be seen by 2 million visitors a year! Apply by 5:00 p.m. on October 31, 2019.
PierPride Foundation and the City of San Clemente are delighted to announce a public art beautification project, “Art On The Pier.” The first installment will be for the exterior of the utility room door on the mid-Pier restroom building. The door will be used as “canvas” for an original piece of artwork depicting San Clemente’s Pier's unique culture and/or history.
The selected artist, or team of artists, will receive a $350 honorarium. Interested artists are invited to submit one online application with up to 3 conceptual renderings no later than 5:00 p.m. on October 31, 2019. Applications will be reviewed by a jury consisting of artists, art professionals, volunteers and community representatives. The jury will review all complete, eligible applications received by the deadline. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
