The Living Tradition presents an evening to see, hear & dance to folk music performed by two talented groups. Dan Frechette & Laurel Thompsen are a Canadian-American-Folk-Roots duo performing on guitar and fiddle. They combine soaring violin, diverse guitar styles, compelling storytelling, a dash of harmonica and humor, and unique vocal rapport for a dynamic, engaging, polished performance. The MacMammals are the husband - wife team of Carol Schryver-Bloom and Ron Bloom. Their specialty is songs from Ireland, Scotland, England, and North America. From heartfelt ballads to rousing sea shanties, their music weaves historical tales with folklore and humor.
