Fine Silver Jewelry Making with Michelle Gharibian

Fine Silver Jewelry Making with Michelle Gharibian

Presented by Brea Art Gallery, The at Brea Art Gallery

New at the Brea Gallery, join instructor Michelle Gharibian for this exciting Jewelry workshop! Students will learn how to work with fine silver wire and unique beads to create their own one-of-a-kind earring designs. Michelle will teach students shaping and texturing techniques along with proper tool usage and safety so that they may continue to design outside of the classroom. Students will walk away from the class with two custom designed, handmade pairs of silver earrings as well as a silver chain-link bracelet.

Michelle Gharibian started making accessories and jewelry as a young girl, and it soon became a passion and not just a hobby. She knew from the beginning that she wanted this to be her future career. She began her shop to start show casing her work, and quickly realized she needed to learn more. She pushed my herself to take courses on jewelry fabrication and from there she transitioned in majoring in Jewelry and Metalsmithing to obtain her BFA. She is constantly learning new techniques and skills and when it comes to jewelry designing learning never ends.

Notes:
All materials will be provided. Wearing layers is recommended as the classroom tends to get a bit cool.
