9-12th graders SIGN-UP for Ryman Arts @GCAC
Join Ryman Arts for a free drawing workshop for current 9-12th grade students at Grand Central Art Center. Students will learn about observational drawing from our faculty and about the Ryman Arts program. Drawings completed that day can be submitted to apply for our spring 2020 semester at our nearby Saturday campus, California State University, Fullerton (application deadline: December 2).
Families and educators are welcome to attend to learn more about what Ryman Arts is really like. This workshop is free and suitable for all skill levels, all supplies and materials are provided. SIGN UP!
Ryman Arts is a non-profit organization that transforms lives by creating access and opportunity for a diverse community of young artists through rigorous education in fundamental art skills and mentoring. The program provides 3.5 hour classes at California State University, Fullerton on Saturdays and Otis College of Art and Design on Sundays for two semesters a year. Students participate in discussions with visiting artists, field trips, and college planning/career guidance workshops. Each accepted student receives a full scholarship that covers the cost of instruction, art supplies, field trips, and public transportation reimbursement.
