Learn Colin's simple, direct approach for fresh, loose paintings. Clean color and decisive marks are the keys to success! In this class, you will work on the fundamentals of oil painting, focusing on painting the landscape outdoors. You will learn to see the landscape more carefully and put paint down more intentionally. There is a tremendous value in painting from nature and this workshop is a wonderful way to improve your paintings skills in a supportive environment. Colin will use demos and individual instruction to teach paint handling, composition, color, drawing, and observing with a painter's eye. The class will begin each day by discussing a different idea and how to improve that aspect of your paintings. This will be a fun and supportive environment where everyone will help and encourage each other. Tuition: $550. Location: Newport Beach; Hours: 9am-4pm. Please contact the Debra Huse Gallery for more details or to enroll.
