Buena Park K-6 Art Submissions Due January 15

The City of Buena Park invites  K-6  students who live in  Buena Park and its surrounding cities to participate in the 44th Annual Elementary Art Show, "We Love Artists!"   Student work will be showcased in City Hall from January 21 – February 19, 2020.  The Awards Reception will be January 31, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.  This year’s theme is:  "We Love Artists!” From Kahlo to Kusama, Kerry James Marshall to Pablo Picasso...who are your favorite artists? Do you share a homeland with a famous artist? Is there an artist in your family or are YOU the creative one?  Create art that reflects your love of a particular artist, a style, or simply freestyle using the materials that you love; crayons, paper, markers or paint.  Have fun and fly on the page!
Deadline is January 15, 2020 by 5:00 p.m. at the Buena Park Community Center, 6688 Beach Blvd. in Buena Park. Open Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and alternating Fridays

Submission Requirements Artwork must be matted or mounted on matboard (no glass, framed, or 3-D work will be accepted). Three submissions maximum per student. Please include a half-sheet of paper attached to the back lower right corner with the student's name, the title of work, grade, school, parent name and contact info as well as teacher name and contact information.   Entries MUST be submitted through the student's school or through the artist’s parents.
Not open to after school art programs or private instruction classes.
