10th Annual Silverado Annual Chili Cook-Off & Cinco de Mayo Festival

Irvine Lake, Sunday May 3rd, 2015

Cinco de Mayo Festival, Chili Competition, LIVE MUSIC & Entertainment, Artists, Vendors, Family Activities, Petting Zoo, Food & Beverages!

The Silverado Modjeska Recreation & Park District (SMRPD) is hosting the 10th Annual Silverado Chili Cook-Off & Cinco de Mayo Festival on Sunday, May 3rd, 2015 at the OC’s favorite scenic outdoor event venue…Irvine Lake!

Watch out for those Really Desperate Housewives at the Silverado Chili Cook-Off where costumed competitors in their fabulously decorated chili booths will do almost anything to win your vote! An “Official Judge’s Panel” and community “tasters” will decide which chili competitors deserve the Judge’s “Best Chili”, “People’s Choice Chili” and “Best Booth & Team Spirit” trophies and awards!

Come spend a pre-Cinco de Mayo afternoon with us at beautiful Irvine Lake on May 3rd, taste the competition chili and vote for your favorite family recipe!  Browse the arts & craft expo with local vendors, and businesses while enjoying the Cinco de Mayo entertainment lineup & family activities such as crafts, bouncehouse, facepainting and farm animal petting zoo! Everyone has the opportunity to sing-a-long and dance to great local musicians on stage…all for just the price of a taster’s kit! You’re welcome to tour the scenic Irvine Lake by boat (additional cost) or by foot…free! This is a favorite family event you won’t want to miss so be sure to bring your friends and family!
