44th Annual VSA Festival @ Main Place Mall - NOW VIRTUAL

44th Annual VSA Festival @ Main Place Mall - NOW VIRTUAL

Presented by Orange County Arts and Disability (formerly VSA) and Imagination Celebration at Online/Virtual Space

Due to the circumstances surrounding Coronavirus COVID-19, VSA Orange County’s 44th Annual Very Special Arts Festival, The SuperPower in Me, will be moved to a virtual Format. The safety and well-being our students, teachers, volunteers, and festival participants is our priority. We also believe the importance of celebrating the artistic accomplishments of children and adults with disabilities, and know that many of your artists and performers have already begun preparation for the Festival on April 18th. We want their work to be recognized!

WHAT WILL OUR VIRTUAL FESTIVAL LOOK LIKE?
Artwork and performance videos will be displayed on VSA Orange County’s Facebook Page and website. Performance videos will be uploaded every 20 minutes throughout the day on April 18th. Each post will be accompanied by a write-up about each performer / performing group along with a link to that performer’s website or organization’s website. We will also provide some educational posts and resources related to different disability groups, and encourage engagement through questions and comments. We are encouraging you to share these links with teachers, students, families, and community organizations to attract viewers to our site on April 18th.

ARTWORK AND PERFORMANCE VIDEOS ARE DUE, ELECTRONICALLY, BY WEDNESDAY, APRIL 15th. Check our website for additional questions

We understand that this is a challenging time for everyone, but what better way to life spirits and spread joy than through art? We hope that you will join us in providing opportunity, awareness and education through our combined efforts to produce this festival----virtually.
