Orange County Museum of Art (OCMA) and The Newport Beach Film Festival (NBFF) present, Cinema Orange - The Vasulka Effect.  Discover the life and work of video art pioneers Steina and Woody Vasulka.

This documentary reveals the impact of their work on the decentralization of media, the revolution against censorship, and the “YouTube Generation.”

After meeting in Prague in the early 1960s, they relocated from Czechoslovakia to New York, where they founded The Kitchen, a legendary art space. Now retired, living in Santa Fe and in debt, the Vasulkas are busy with their legacy: conserving and archiving their videos in their usual DIY spirit.

Presented in partnership with Newport Beach Film Festival and organized by Leslie Feibleman, director of special programs and community cinema, Newport Beach Film Festival.
