FREE Stream: A Streetcar Named Desire

Irvine Barclay Theatre brings you the National Theatre At Home free stream of the Young Vic hit production of Tennessee Williams’ timeless masterpiece, A Streetcar Named Desire, with Gillian Anderson, Vanessa Kirby and Ben Foster.  As Blanche’s fragile world crumbles, she turns to her sister Stella for solace – but her downward spiral brings her face to face with the brutal, unforgiving Stanley Kowalski.

NOTE:  Contains scenes featuring sexual and domestic violence

A Streetcar Named Desire, directed by Benedict Andrews, was filmed live on stage at London’s Young Vic theatre by National Theatre Live in 2014.   Gillian Anderson (The X-Files, The Fall, Sex Education) plays Blanche DuBois, with Ben Foster (Lone Survivor, Kill Your Darlings) as Stanley and Vanessa Kirby (The Crown, Mission Impossible 7) as Stella.

Run Time:  3 hours and 25 minutes with a very short interval, and it is subtitled
